The charismatic baritone Christian Gerhaher (*1969) has dedicated himself to the Lied - and together with his regular Lied partner, the pianist Gerold Huber, has already formed a successful Lied duo with an unmistakable sound for almost three decades. In all renowned concert halls from Europe to America, the two artists with their familiar interplay enchant the audience with their soulful song interpretations. On stage as well as in their numerous CD recordings, the focus is on the extensive Lied oeuvre of Gustav Mahler, Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert.
In addition to his chamber music recitals, the Straubing-born singer, who holds a degree in medicine, is regularly at home on the world’s major concert, festival and opera stages. There, the Munich-based singer works with top orchestras and all the renowned conductors of our time.
