The Walloon city of Liège with its charming medieval old town is well worth a visit. The steep, wooded hills surrounding the city on the Meuse have long enchanted visitors and make it a worthwhile destination in the Belgian Ardennes. Characterized by joie de vivre and festivity, the city is constantly changing and stands for tradition and modernity in equal measure with a rich heritage of art, culture and architecture. In culinary terms, there is no way around the world-famous Liège waffle, which seduces with its vanilla or caramel scent on every corner, and in 1820, King William I of the Netherlands inaugurated the Royal Theater. With its innovative stage machinery, the Opéra de Wallonie was considered one of the most modern theaters in the world at the time. A good 200 years later, many great voices and artists have performed here - see for yourself.
Excellent séjour musical du début jusqu'à la fin, comme d'habitude.
Les Contes d'Hoffmann à l'Opéra Royal de Liège surprenant au début mais très cohérent et bien rendu.
