Brian Jagde is an American operatic tenor, born on August 21, 1979, on Long Island, New York. He studied voice at the Purchase College‑Conservatory of Music, initially as a baritone before transitioning to tenor, and further refined his craft through the Adler and Merola programs at the San Francisco Opera. Jagde has established an international presence on major stages such as the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Paris Opera and Vienna State Opera, performing roles including Cavaradossi, Don José, Calaf, Radamès and Pinkerton. His accolades include second prize and the Birgit Nilsson Prize at the 2012 Operalia Competition and first prize at the Loren L. Zachary Competition in 2014. He also serves as an Ambassador for Opera for Peace.
